All our courses are suitable for beginners.
The videos are professional and easy to understand, available in the members' section. They are designed for the home environment, you don't need expensive machines, you can get by with a simple home sewing machine and a hand sander. We choose tools that you have at home or can easily buy.
And if you want to make things easier, you can order tool or material kits from our e-shop in time. You'll also find lasts in the e-shop that are ballerina lasts, but with a few simple modifications we can make them suitable for lace-up shoes. We'll teach you how to do this in class too!
Thanks to our support, you won't get stuck anywhere and you'll be able to cut out ballerinas and oxfords just like in a shop.

Ballerinas
The basic type of shoes made on the lasts. It is the easiest to construct and great for understanding the basics of real shoemaking.

Oxfords
A more advanced type that you can definitely do right after ballerinas. And they don't just have to be decorated with holes, they have lots of options for adjusting the upper. You can play with them however you like.

Who will guide you through the courses?
My name is Klara Nemcekova.
I am a tutor of sewing and creator of customized barefoot shoes. I have been teaching barefoot shoemaking on live courses since 2016. Since 2021 I have been making barefoot shoes for myself and my children and also customized for my customers under the brand Dobrobotky, which means Good Shoes.
I would love to share my experience with you too.
My name is Irena Svobodová. I'm one of many who fell in love with sewing shoes, one of those who wanted to learn something new again.
A woman who does things in her life that fulfil her, that she enjoys and, most importantly, that make sense.
I have a wonderful family that has given me confidence and today I sew shoes for myself and for almost everyone close to me... shoes that are made to measure, according to our personal wishes and needs.
I'm one of you who learned to sew shoes from an online course, so I know it's possible and if it lights the flame of passion to learn something new in you, you will really learn to sew shoes.
In order to pass on my experience to you, I am continuing my personal training in the shoemaking industry with a shoemaker with 30 years experience.

Why barefoot shoes?
Barefoot shoes are shoes that feel like walking barefoot. They are very flexible and adapt to your feet as you walk.
Barefoot shoes:
- anatomical toe shape with sufficient space for fingers
- thin sole, which keeps you in contact with the surface you are walking on
- no arch support to keep your foot muscles properly engaged when you walk
- soft and flexible shoes that allow your feet to move naturally when you walk
- the advantage of hand sewn barefoot shoes is that they are made exactly for your feet
Classic footwear:
- inappropriate toe shape, which pushes the thumb against fingers and can lead to deformities
- Thick soles that you can't feel anything through and you are therefore less dexterous in terrain
- a reinforced arch that causes your foot muscles to work incorrectly and can cause your arch to fall off
- often hard, unyielding upper material in which your feet cannot move freely
- sizes correspond to average feet, they do not count with the variability in the shape of the feet
