Why choose our ballerinas lasts Kraft?
Choose your size based on your measured real foot length - RL - and the extra space you feel comfortable with. If you measure the RL of one foot at 24.2 cm and the other at 24.5 cm, and you know that you like to have about 1.2 - 1.4 cm more space, then you need a shoe with an RL of about 25.6 - 25.8 cm. In the table below you will see in the RL column that this corresponds to a size 39. If you prefer a smaller space of 0.7 - 0.8 cm, you will look for a shoe size of 25 - 25.2 cm and prefer a smaller last of size 38.
Ballerinas are worn without socks, so there is no need to count on them, and the generally recommended oversize for ballerinas is usually smaller (about 0.7 - 0.9 mm), but you should always go by your own experience. If you are unsure, choose a smaller lasts that you can easily load to the desired length. A minimum of 0.6 cm space is required for the foot to function properly.
Choose the line according to the circumference of the finger joints - CFJ. The CFJ of ballerinas should be slightly smaller than your feet, about 0.5 - 1 cm. The space in the shoe can also be regulated by the insole, which can "compensate" for the larger CFJ of the lasts. If you don't mind a thicker insole, you can choose a wider line. If you prefer a tighter boot with only a thin insole, choose a narrower line, you can always load the lasts.
You can also sew other types of shoes on ballerina lasts, just load in the instep or heel as needed.
